Directions

The International Center is located at 523 Russell Street in West Lafayette, two blocks west of University Avenue at the western edge of the main academic campus of Purdue University. Russell Street is one-way (going south) from Stadium Avenue to State Street. The IC buildings are between the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house to the north and the Delta Chi fraternity to the south, or between 5th and 6th Streets.

There are  16 parking spaces reserved for the International Center on Tarkington Drive, the road right behind the IC buildings. (parallel to Russell Street and labeled as Ross Aid Drive on the map above ) west of the traffic light at Stadium Avenue and Russell Street. A few parking spaces are directly behind the IC buildings, and the others are further south along the green fence in the large parking lot at the end of Tarkington Drive. The IC spaces are clearly marked by signs (brown with gold lettering.) We also use the two driveways behind the IC for parking, and we ask that you pull up to the building to leave space for other cars behind yours.

We issue International Center Parking Permits, good until July 31 of the following year, which should be displayed in the front window of your car whenever you are attending an IC activity. Cars without permits are subject to fines. Please see the office for a parking permit.

After 5:00 p.m. and on weekends, parking is permitted in Purdue University spaces that normally require permits; however, be warned that it is advisable NOT to park in any other spaces that belong to the fraternities or to the residence halls. Please be especially considerate of our neighbors at the Delta Chi house and refrain from using their parking lot right next to the IC–they need their spaces and will tow your car!
