34th International Food Bazaar APRIL 18, 2009

 

The 35th annual International Food Bazaar will be held Saturday, April 17th from 11:00am-2:00pm.

Please let us know if you would like to represent your country this year, or if you would like to help in any other way. In addition to cooking, we need help the day before with set-up (Friday, April 16, 2010:  9:00pm-12:00am) and on Saturday after the bazaar for clean-up. Our 34th Annual International Food Bazaar, held on April 18 at the basement of the University Church, netted over $7,000 to support the IC and its programs. This fundraiser was a success because of our many wonderful volunteers. Groups of volunteers from : Argentinean Tango Club, Brazil, Indiana ( Celtic table ), China, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Chef Hubert Schmieder and Ruth Spitznagle ( The Good Egg table ), Ireland, Italy ( with Italian Club ), Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam, cooked for us and many other people helped with set-up and clean-up. Also, many businesses made financial and food donations to help cover the costs of the bazaar.

Our sponsors this year were: Eli Lilly and Company, Passageways, Crestview Apartments, Kumon, American Brakes, China 1 Buffet, “Spacibo” European Market, El Chicano, Little Mexico II, El Rodeo, La Tapatia.
